To provide supervision, guidance, logistical support and limited administration to a group of heterogeneous journeyman crafts and their helpers. Level of Work:Supervisor. Supervision Received:General from a Maintenance Superintendent or agency official of higher grade. Supervision Exercised:Direct over a variety of journeyman jobs. Location of Work:May be used by all state agencies. Job Distinctions:Differs from other Foreman jobs by its full time supervision of a staff of various journeyman positions. Differs from other non-foreman jobs by its performance of first line supervision. Differs from Maintenance Superintendent by lack of responsibility for supervision of subordinate Foreman. Examples of Work Inspects buildings, grounds and equipment to determine need for various types of repairs or maintenance work. Inspects work in progress and upon completion for compliance with standards. Makes estimates of cost of labor and materials and requisitions supplies and equipment.
