What will be expected from you?

• Identifies and communicates troubleshooting and diagnostic evaluations for causes of electrical equipment failure.
• Completes diagnostic activities in line with electrical safety practices, procedures, and protocols as specified in site Safety Procedures and by the National Electrical Code.
• Installs electrical equipment (motors, panels, lighting), diagnoses problems, consults blueprints/schematics/manuals, and uses hand and power tools to repair or install equipment.
• Executes routine Preventive Maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment reliability; completes Preventative Maintenance paperwork.
• Maintains a clean work area and performs housekeeping duties as needed.
• Performs other electrical duties as assigned and communicates electrical needs across the organization.
• Follows site protocols for documenting work and repair histories; participates in required training programs and maintains electrical credentials; completes computer-based training within specified timeframes.
• Regular presence in the workplace and ability to work extra hours or overtime to meet production objectives as needed.
• Collaborates with team members and assists others in achieving company goals; participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives and required training.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Electrical Technology or completion of an Electrician apprenticeship program required.
• 5 years of Journeyman Electrician experience in service or industrial environment required.
• State of Texas Journeyman Electrical License required.
• Ability to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Certificates of completed electrical training (must provide certificates).
• Proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office; SAP proficiency preferred.
• Ability to climb and work at elevated heights; exposed to wet/humid conditions and near moving mechanical parts; exposed to fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and electrical shock risks.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and maintenance manuals; familiarity with NFPA 70E electrical safety standards.
• Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and organizational skills; ability to document work and repair histories.
• Effective oral, written, and computer communication skills.
