Job Details

OF POSITION: The Psych Aide provides direct contact with each assigned patient to monitor responses to services & identify problem areas. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to Nurse Manager and/or Charge Nurse RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provides physical, emotional &/or cognitive patient care in an appropriate, safe manner. Liaison with various departments of LCMH to patient safety and quality care based on patient needs. - Diligent Training Utilizes effective crisis intervention techniques. Demonstrates ability to conduct environment and patient safety duties (i.e.- room inspections, patient search, belonging searches, monitor visitors for contraband). Communicates abnormal variances of physical data (vital signs, pain, etc.) to appropriate staff. Emotional &/or cognitive data (tearful, hallucinating, etc.) to appropriate staff.
