Growing together.As a Full Time Pharmacy Clerk , you will perform general clerical duties and services within the pharmacy under the supervision of a director or licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include the proper delivery and return of medications and documentation to and from patient care units; stocking inventory; answering phones; helping patients at the pick-up window; packing and scanning medication bags; and logging, sorting, filing correspondence and other records as directed.Pharmacy LocationLocated within Lake Charles Memorial Hospital - Medical Plaza Pharmacy in Lake Charles, LA.Schedule40 hours per week, with variable shifts Monday through Friday scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.Primary ResponsibilitiesGreet and assist pharmacy customers in person and by phone, providing timely and professional service.Look up customer information and order status using pharmacy systems, escalating issues to pharmacy liaisons as needed.Operate the pharmacy POS system and assist customers with basic billing concerns over the phone.Manage daily administrative tasks, including sorting/distributing mail and maintaining pharmacy and office supply inventories.Coordinate mailing, shipping, and courier services, maintaining records and resolving service issues when needed.Support compliance activities such as temperature monitoring and shipping verification.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Recent work experience in customer service role.Preferred QualificationExperience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or medical office setting.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
